DCC awarded over €14m in case against supplier
Business support services group DCC was today awarded £10.2m (€14.8m) in damages against a Taiwanese supplier of Shoprider mobility products.
In November 2002, DCC commenced legal proceedings against Pihsiang Machinery Manufacturing (a Taiwanese public company), its Chairman and major shareholders Mr Donal and Mrs Jenny Wu, following a breach of a long-term supply agreement with DMA, DCC's UK based mobility products subsidiary.
In the London High Court today Mr Justice Langley delivered his judgment in favour of DCC'S subsidiary DMA and against all three defendants.
There will be a court hearing on February 13, 2004 to consider the issue of costs and any applications for the permission to appeal.
