BUSINESS support services group DCC is confident it will be paid the €14.8 million in damages it has been awarded by the High Court in London against a Taiwanese public company.

Business support services group DCC was today awarded £10.2m (€14.8m) in damages against a Taiwanese supplier of Shoprider mobility products.

Support Services company DCC has eported an 11% fall in first half pre-tax profits. Pre-tax profits fell to €31.22 in the six months to September, from €35.25 in the same period last year. Turnover fell 4.1% to €975m.

DCC reported a good performance for the year ended March 31, 2003.

DISTRIBUTION and marketing group DCC suffered a 40% drop in its healthcare division performance, resulting in flat first-half profits to September, 30, 2002.
