African Diamonds plc has announced plans to seek a secondary listing of its ordinary shares on the Botswana Stock Exchange.

The company - based in Clontarf, Dublin, is in discussions with the Botswana Stock Exchange, and mines diamonds from operations in Botswana and West Africa.

It expects that admission of ordinary shares will take place and dealings will commence on or around February 17.

Chairman of African Diamonds, John Teeling, said: "Botswana, as the world's top diamond producer, has an investment community knowledgeable about the diamond industry.

"As we deepen our investment in Botswana, we expect to involve local investors. This is an excellent platform."
