AFRICAN DIAMONDS PLC, the Irish AIM and Botswana-listed diamond exploration company, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kukama Mining & Exploration, has been awarded three prospecting licences close to the Orapa region of Botswana.

Petrel Resources, the Clontarf-based oil and gas exploration company, is due to submit tenders to develop three oil fields in Iraq - Kirkuk, Hamrin and Subba/Luhais.

African Gold, the Clontarf based mining company, has finalised a placing of 27,077,777 new ordinary £0.01 (€0.01478) shares at a price of £0.09 (€0.133) raising a total of £2,437,000 (€3,602,894.70 ) from institutional and private investors.

African Diamonds has recovered diamonds from drill samples in a previously barren kimberlite in Central Botswana.

African Diamonds plc has announced plans to seek a secondary listing of its ordinary shares on the Botswana Stock Exchange.
