Esat BT wins National College of Ireland contract

Esat BT has been selected by the National College of Ireland to provide a data LAN and IP Telephony solution incorporating Primary Rate Voice connectivity.

The contract, which is expected to be initially worth over €400,000 to Esat BT, was secured after an extensive tendering process.

Esat BT has installed and project managed the entire solution, representing one of the largest IP telephony installations in Ireland.

On completion of the installation, the National College of Ireland is supporting the network of IP phones and operating one of the most sophisticated converged data and voice solutions based on Cisco IP infrastructure.

The new communications platform will provide NCI with the ability to develop and introduce integrated voice/data applications in the future.
