M&S unveils Beckham boys' clothing range

Marks & Spencer has unveiled a collection of boys' clothing designed with the help of David Beckham.

The DB07 range, for boys aged four to 16, is based on the style of the Manchester United and England captain.

It includes sporty black and red T-shirts, zip-up jackets and loose-fitting tracksuit trousers with a "Beckham" logo in the ankle zip.

The football star has signed up for five more collections over the next three years and is reported to be earning up to £2m (€3.1m) from the deal.

Beckham, who has also appeared in high-profile campaigns for Adidas and Police sunglasses, says he is delighted with the range.

He said: "What appealed to me most about this partnership is that it gives me the chance to see something develop.

"I wanted to create clothes that are different from what you would normally expect to see in Marks & Spencer - that kids get excited about wearing. I hope that's what I've done and will go on doing over the next three years."

The collection will be available in stores from September 21.
