Aer Rianta reports 33% fall in profits
Aer Rianta has reported a 33% fall in profits last year, down to €30m.
Company chairman Noel O’Hanlon said 2001 was a challenging year for the company, particularly due to the foot-and-mouth crisis in Britain and the attacks on the US in September.
Meanwhile, Aer Rianta has also outlined plans for a new pier at Dublin Airport with the capacity to cater for more than 100 million passengers. The company hopes to open half the pier next year and to finish work on it by 2004.
