Eircom to sell Golden Pages to VNU

Media and information company VNU is to take over eircom's 63% control in Golden Pages.

Dutch company VNU currently has a 37% interest in Golden Pages and it is to buy out the 63% for a consideration of €185 m.

The business relationship between Eircom and Golden Pages, which includes production of the Phone Book and the directory services 'Golden Pages Talking' will continue to exist.

The transaction has been submitted for approval to the relevant Irish Authorities.
