The jump in revenues coincided with a jump in pre-tax profits.

The main activity of the firm is the promotion and staging of events and the Waterford man is expected to add to his coffers later this year with an extensive Out of Control tour of Ireland and the UK.

The directors’ report says they “are satisfied that the results for the year are consistent with expected levels”.

The report adds: “Any business of this size, the industry in which the business operates continues to be challenging.”

Mr Barry resigned as director of the firm last December. The firm’s annual return shows that he retains a 50% shareholding in the firm with Eamon Maguire retaining a 49.5% share and Paul McGlade holding a 0.5% stake

During the same period, accumulated profits at Mr Barry’s other firm, Marstock Entertainment Ltd had also increased. Accumulated profits rose from €173,398 to €176,406 in 2013.

The latest figures coincide with Mr Barry’s The Dark Side live tour, which he performed in 2013, and the production of his TV3 programme Brain Hacker, which aired earlier this year.

Mr Barry has starred in over 40 international TV shows and they have been shown over 110 countries.
