Cold weather boosts DCC performance

Cold weather improved the performance of Irish based support service company DCC which is aiming to become Europe’s largest oil distributor.

DCC posted a 21% jump in annual profit, beating its own guidance, after its energy business was boosted by colder winter weather in Britain.

Profit before tax of £163m (€192m) increased by 24.7%, according to the companies preliminary results for the year ending March 31.
