Partnership for pensions education

Dublin: A partnership has been established between the Institute of Pensions Management and the National College of Ireland, to work towards excellence in pensions education.

Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton formally launched the new partnership, which sees the introduction of a new suite of professional qualifications that combine industry and academia.

Ms Burton welcomed the partnership and said the new courses will “help participants develop the essential skills and increase the professionalism of those working in the pensions and financial services industry.”

Companies such as Aon Hewitt, Irish Life and Mercer have encouraged their staff to participate in the programmes.
