The school will be opened by Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney.

Leading national and international speakers from universities, regulatory bodies, food production, retailing, international marketing, state agencies and global business will address the subject of turning the economic tide in Ireland with a vision for the agri-food and marine sectors and the environment.

One of the organisers, Micheal O’Mahony, a board member of the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority, said that the school is an essential forum for leading players in the agri-food, marine and environmental sectors.
