Ireland gets total €300m in EU fund

Dublin: Irish researchers, businesses and educational institutions have received a total of €300 million since 2007 under the EU’s €55bn FP7 fund, and are expected to draw down the same again before it ends in 2013.

Jobs and Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton and EU Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn said some €18bn is available across the EU under the fund between 2011 and 2013.
