ISME says buy Irish and save jobs

Dublin: ISME, the Irish Small & Medium Enterprises Association, has made a final call for a national effort to “buy Irish to save Irish jobs”, outlining that thousands of jobs in the retail and manufacturing sector are dependent on consumers buying Irish-produced quality products.

Consumers can “do their bit” and provide a real impetus to the domestic economy by buying the Irish quality alternative during their Christmas shopping and save Irish jobs in the process.

According to ISME chief executive, Mark Fielding: “If every consumer switched just one tenth of their ‘imported shopping’ to Irish-produced quality goods it would go a long way to sustaining Irish jobs after what has been a very difficult year.”
