NTR signs up BP veteran for US jobs

NTR has announced that BP’s former US Wind Energy president will join its solar US development business, Stirling Energy Systems (SES), as chief executive for North American Project Development.

Bob Lukefahr will be responsible for all aspects of the north American development business which will develop, own and operate grid-scale solar facilities using Stirling’s SunCatcher Power System.He will drive the completion of two existing projects with California utilities San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Edison of up to 1,600 MW, with a goal of developing a further 1,000 MW of new solar plants by the end of 2011.
