Market makes moderate advance

THE ISEQ closed in positive territory yesterday. The Irish exchange jumped 48 points to 6,114.

AIB added 4c to €12.98. Bank of Ireland gained 21c to €8.31. Anglo and Irish Life and Permanent finished 7c and 2c stronger at €8.42 and €10.70.

Construction giant CRH increased 27c to €24 as its company William Cox won the contract for the design, manufacture and installation of the roof at Lansdowne Road. Grafton Group was 5c better off at €5.06. Kingspan closed 3c better off at €7.
