Flybe signs airport contract

EUROPE’s largest regional airline, Flybe, has signed a contract with the Pilot Training College at Waterford Airport.

The contract with the college, part of the Waterford-based Shemburn Group, will see student pilots trained at the college on behalf of Flybe under a mentored cadetship scheme — the first of a number of cadetship schemes being negotiated by the college.

The contract is expected to contribute an extra €1.5 million to the Shemburn Group’s business.
