Providence start drilling in Nigeria

OIL and gas exploration company, Providence Resources has announced that it started drilling work at its AJE 4 field off the Nigerian coast.

A number of companies are partnering Providence in the project, including Chevron (Nigeria). Drilling operations are expected to take up to nine weeks.

Even if tests find positive results, the partners will suspend the well as a possible future producer. Providence is investing €3.4m in the project.
