Rolls drives FTSE up

BRITISH stocks advanced yesterday led by Rolls-Royce Group Plc after the Financial Times newspaper said the aircraft-engine maker may return more cash to shareholders.

The benchmark FTSE 100 rallied 36.4, or 0.6%, to 6,382.80, bringing its gain for the week to 1.3%, the biggest weekly jump since December 15.
