BRITISH stocks advanced yesterday led by Rolls-Royce Group Plc after the Financial Times newspaper said the aircraft-engine maker may return more cash to shareholders.

Rolls-Royce Group PLC has said it has won an order worth around $350m (€307m) from Thai Airways International for Trent 500 engines.
