BRITISH stocks resumed this month’s retreat amid speculation that interest rates worldwide will keep rising, weighing on financial companies, including Barclays plc.
The FTSE 100 Index declined 91.6, or 1.6%, to 5587.10.
The FTSE All-Share Index dropped 46.91, or 1.6%, to 2846.51.
