Ardagh takeover faces British probe

COMPETITION watchdogs in Britain have started a public consultation process to examine whether Irish glass bottle maker Ardagh’s acquisition of Barnsley-based Rexam Glass satisfies British competition law.

The Office of Fair Trade said it would investigate whether the deal should be referred to the Competition Commission.
