Datalex alliance wins UA contract

A strategic alliance between Datalex, the Dublin-based travel reservation software developer, and Galileo, the worldwide flight reservation system, has won a contract to deliver a web-based booking platform for United Airlines, one of the world's leading airlines.

The project involves Datalex customising its booking engine and managing its integration with other components of the United multi-channel product offering.

"We are delighted to be working with customers of the calibre of Galileo and United Airlines," said Neil Beck, CEO of Datalex. "The agreement, which includes an element of transaction fees, reflects a long-term relationship.”

Datalex also issued a generally positive trading statement yesterday, but warned the company was experiencing some delays in the closure of contracts that would have an impact on revenue for the second half of the year. Datalex said second half revenues would be broadly in line with those in the first six months of 2003.
