Credit union savings up 8.8%

Savings with credit unions grew by 8.8% in the six months to March, compared with the market growth of 5.6%, the Irish League of Credit Unions said yesterday.

Chief executive Liam O’Dwyer said the increase reflected public awareness of the returns available on credit union deposits.
