Tullow Oil signs deal with Uganda

Exploration company Tullow Oil said its Energy Africa subsidiary has signed a deal with the Ugandan government to extend its activities in the country.

The new deal covers a site in which Energy Africa holds a 50% interest, with the balance held by Heritage Oil Corporation. Tullow chief executive Aidan Heavey said the company would accelerate its exploration programme in the coming months.
