DOMESTIC industry stood up well in a difficult year for the global economy and generated 8,200 jobs, Enterprise Ireland said yesterday.

Despite the challenging global environment indigenous industry created €1 billion in export sales while 60 high export growth companies were established.

It also saw the emergence of a further 80 Irish exporters taking on the challenges of overseas competition.
