ICTU calls for end to tax shelters

Tax shelters that favour the wealthy must be abolished in this week’s budget, Irish Congress of Trade Unions general secretary David Begg said at the weekend.

He said tax shelters were unjust and were a factor in making workers on the average industrial wage sceptical about the tax system.
