Aer Lingus online bookings hit 1m
The airline said over the weekend that online bookings in the first three months of the year were almost double those in the same period last year. Online customers have booked flights for as little as €3 plus taxes, it said.
The internet will account for six million bookings, or 75% of all Aer Lingus sales this year, up from 51% last year. Chief operating officer Niall Walsh said: “We intend to aggressively drive further traffic through aerlingus.com to reach our 90% bookings target for 2007.”
The company will launch a new ticket sale tomorrow for April and May flights.
