Drug law would save 1% spending

Legislation that would allow imports of low-cost drugs from Canada and European countries would save only about 1% on US prescription spending over the next 10 years, a report from the Congressional Budget Office said.

Drug companies would probably raise prices for all countries rather than allow traders to sell lower-priced versions of their drugs in the US, if such bills become law, the report said.
