Boss of South Korean ferry operator jailed after sinking

The head of a ferry operator was sentenced to seven years in prison in South Korea’s highest court over a ship sinking that killed more than 300 people.

The Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling that sentenced Kim Han-sik, president of Chonghaejin Marine Co, on charges including manslaughter.
