Egypt: state newspaper offices destroyed, up to 13 killed, more injured
Security services are reporting that up to 13 people have been killed and several others injured in an attack by suspected Islamist militants in Sinai Province.
An office of Egypt's state newspaper al Ahram has also been destroyed in the attack.
It's not clear if the paper was the key target.
The militants fired mortar rounds and used a car bomb.
Sinai Province is home to an Islamic State affiliate previously known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis. That group previously launched several attacks against the army and police in recent years. The scale of attacks have esculated since the President Mohammed Morsi was overthrown in 2013.
