It came as the murderous spree of terror attacks was reported to have claimed the lives of another two victims after an associate of at least one of the brothers launched a fresh strike at a Jewish supermarket in Paris.
Two deaths have been reported after at least five people, including children, were taken captive following a shoot-out at the Hyper Cacher kosher store in Porte de Vincennes in the east of the capital.
Up to six loud explosions were heard in that location shortly after the activity in Dammartin-en-Goele.
Schools near the kosher supermarket where five hostages are being held remain closed. Parents are being advised not to travel into the area to collect them.
