British MPs quaffing Iron Maiden ale
A heavy metal band's beer is being sold in the UK's Houses of Parliament.
Iron Maiden's Trooper ale is being stocked in the House of Commons' Strangers' Bar, which often sells guest ales to promote more lesser-known British products, and the alcoholic beverage has gone down well after politician Mike Weatherley suggested stocking the beer.
He told CMU: "As an Iron Maiden fan and an MP, it is a real treat to have this specialist ale as one of the guest ales in parliament - the fact that I also get to try it for the first time on my birthday is just a bonus."
Maiden - who are fronted by singer Bruce Dickinson - promoted Trooper during their set at Download Festival, where it was also on sale to revellers, last month.
