Kim Jong-il 'ate spiders, snakes and hippos'

Former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il used to eat spiders, snakes and hippos, according to new claims.

The late leader's personal sushi chef, Kenji Fujimoto, alleges Jong-il – who died in 2011 – loved to dine on the unusual foods, which he washed down with some Johnnie Walker whisky and Bordeaux wine.
