Obama hails 'most comprehensive arms control agreement in two decades'
The US and Russia have approved a landmark arms deal aimed at cutting the nuclear arsenals of both countries.
Presidents Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev have spoken by phone this afternoon and given their final agreement to the treaty.
The White House says the signing ceremony will take place early next month in Prague.
President Obama said: "After a year of intense negotiations (we have) the most comprehensive arms control agreement in nearly two decades."
