Inquests on murdered prostitutes postponed

Inquests into the deaths of four of the murdered women working as prostitutes in England have been postponed, police said today.

They were expected to be heard at Ipswich Crown Court at 10am.

But Suffolk Police said the Coroner’s Office had decided to put them back to a later date still to be decided.

The hearing was supposed to be for Tania Nicol, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls.

Their naked bodies were all found near Ipswich in the last three weeks.

An inquest into the fifth murdered woman, Gemma Adams, who was also working as a prostitute, was opened and adjourned last week.

Suffolk Police are hoping to carry out a reconstruction of events surrounding the deaths later today.
