Two Jordanian Air Force planes collide, killing pilots
Two Royal Jordanian Air Force planes collided in mid air during training today, killing two pilots.
A third pilot survived the crash, which occurred at 9.15am (7.15am Irish time) in a place that was not disclosed, a military spokesman said.
The spokesman would not say whether a third pilot managed to eject from his stricken aircraft and whether he was an instructor.
The two planes were Kasa trainers built in Spain, the spokesman said.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.
The state Petra news agency, quoting an unnamed army spokesman, said the two aircraft were on a “training mission,” but provided no other details.
