Asian leaders condemn London attacks
Asian leaders expressed shock and dismay today over the bomb attacks in London that killed dozens of people as the world’s most powerful leaders met at the G8 summit in Scotland. From China to Malaysia to Australia, leaders urged greater cooperation in fighting terrorism.
Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation and the victim of three bloody attacks by Islamic militants since 2002, condemned the blasts that ripped through three underground trains and blasted the roof off a crowded double-decker bus in London yesterday. At least 37 people were killed and 700 were injured.
