Lightning and strong winds kill 13

Thirteen people were killed and more than 20,000 houses destroyed by rain and hail storms in southern China, the government said today.

About three-inches of rain has fallen and hail up to one-inch in diameter has pounded 20 cities in southern China’s Sichuan province since Friday, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
