Humberside’s Chief Constable David Westwood is adamant that the British Data Protection Act was to blame for the deletion of records on Ian Huntley.

Just hours after Huntley was convicted of the double murder of Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman on December 17, he issued a press statement claiming that records were deleted to comply with the Act.
