Quirky World ... Burglar breaks into house, goes on Facebook, forgets to log out

First the burglar failed to log out of Facebook after checking his profile on the homeowner’s computer. Then he agreed to meet up with homeowner James Wood in an effort to get back wet clothes he had left behind.

Wood said the burglar has to be the “world’s dumbest criminal”. Police say the burglar took credit cards, cash, and a watch.

Wood posted his phone number on the burglar’s Facebook page, hoping someone would call. The burglar himself texted Wood and agreed to meet with the homeowner, thinking he could negotiate for his clothes. When Wood spotted the burglar, he recognised him from Facebook and called police.

USA: All the pieces have fallen into place for the designer of a giant Tetris game.

Drexel University professor Frank Lee has earned the Guinness World Record for largest architectural video game display. Again.

Lee and two colleagues created a computer program to play the classic shape-fitting puzzle on two sides of a 29-storey skyscraper in Philadelphia. They used hundreds of lights embedded in the glass facades of the Cira Centre. All told, the “screens” totalled nearly 120,000 sq ft.

Dozens of Tetris enthusiasts played the supersized version in April using a joystick from more than 1km away.

The new record beat the previous one, also set by Lee. Last year, he recreated the Pong on a single side of the same building.

A zoo spokesperson said the woman won’t be allowed back into the facility.

It was later found crashed in the Crooked River south of Prineville. A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and unauthorised use of a vehicle.
