No reprimand for US Airways employee who sent porno tweet from company account
The tweet, which has since been deleted, contained a response to a customer and a pornographic image.
It was shared on the internet and retweeted multiple time before it was taken down, over an hour after it had been posted.
Matt Miller, a spokesperson for the American Airlines Group, said the person responsible was from the company's social media team.
He apologised for the incident but stated the employee would not be fired.
Talking to the Washington Post, Miller said "it was an honest mistake".
He explained the image had originally been tweeted at the airline and was flagged by them as inappropriate. The pic was then "inadvertently shared" by their account.
