Klan infiltrator Kennedy dies
Historian and friend Peggy Bulger said he died yesterday. He had been in hospice care near St Augustine, Florida.
In the 1940s, Kennedy helped write âSupermanâ radio show episodes that exposed and ridiculed the Klanâs rituals. In the 1950s he wrote âI Rode with the Ku Klux Klan,â which was later renamed âThe Klan Unmasked,â and âThe Jim Crow Guideâ. He passed information about the Klan to the FBI, the Internal Revenue Service and other authorities. Bulger once said that Kennedyâs work was one of the strongest blows against the Klan.
