Klan infiltrator Kennedy dies
Historian and friend Peggy Bulger said he died yesterday. He had been in hospice care near St Augustine, Florida.
In the 1940s, Kennedy helped write āSupermanā radio show episodes that exposed and ridiculed the Klanās rituals. In the 1950s he wrote āI Rode with the Ku Klux Klan,ā which was later renamed āThe Klan Unmasked,ā and āThe Jim Crow Guideā. He passed information about the Klan to the FBI, the Internal Revenue Service and other authorities. Bulger once said that Kennedyās work was one of the strongest blows against the Klan.
