The Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper published an interview with a woman who said she was given a job in 2001 with the Self-Defence party in return for sex with Lepper, the party leader, who is agriculture minister as well as deputy premier.

The woman, identified only as Aneta K, was quoted as saying she was also required to have sex with another party member, lawmaker Stanislaw Lyzwinski.

Lepper denied the allegations on TVN24 television.

Chief prosecutor Janusz Kaczmarek met with PM Jaroslaw Kaczynski over the report and “decided to immediately open proceedings concerning both politicians of Self-Defence”, the government press office said.
