R&B sensation Ms Dynamite was Queen of the Brits last night as she picked up two top prizes and led the music world protest against war with Iraq.

Ms Dynamite picks up two Brit awards and leads stinging attack on looming Iraq war

The singer crowned her astonishing year with awards for Best British Female and Best British Urban Act. She joined Coldplay another act with two prizes in a stinging attack on the looming conflict in the Middle East.

In a revamped version of George Michael's Faith, she changed the lyrics to include the line: "I don't wanna to see children die no more/so I gotta make a stand."

Coldplay's Chris Martin also condemned America's stance on Iraq.

He told the audience: "We are all going to die when George Bush has his way. But at least we are going to go out with a bang."

Coldplay won two of the most prized categories Best British Group and Best British Album for A Rush of Blood to the Head. They won the same titles in 2001.

Martin's girlfriend, American actress Gwyneth Paltrow, was watching the action backstage.

The show included a raunchy performance from pop diva Kylie Minogue and Justin Timberlake, who grabbed the Aussie singer's famous behind.

Kylie wore an eye-popping black mini dress as she joined Timberlake to sing Blondie's 1980 chart topper Rapture.

Timberlake former boyfriend of Britney Spears drew gasps as he grabbed the singer's bottom.

Robbie Williams extended his record breaking run of Brit wins by taking his 14th last night, for Best British Male Solo Artist.

It is his 10th solo award and he also picked up four from his years with boyband Take That.

Williams, recently dumped by Rod Stewart's ex wife, Rachel Hunter, sent a taped acceptance speech from the US.

The star-studded bash in London's Earl Court was a sober affair as the organisers banned booze from the auditorium.

Past years have been a showcase for bad behaviour but even US wild child Pink, who collected Best International Female, joked: "I am completely sober tonight."

Chris Martin attempted to lighten up proceedings when he accepted the Best British Group award from Kung Fu legend Jackie Chan. He said: "We'd like to challenge anybody here to a fight except Jackie Chan."

It echoed Robbie Williams' challenge to Oasis star Liam Gallagher three years ago.

Besides Coldplay and Ms Dynamite, the other double winner of the night was Eminem, who scooped Best International Male and Best International Album for The Eminem Show.

In a taped acceptance speech, he said: "I've done nothing to get these f***ing awards, I don't deserve them."

It was a disappointing night for The Streets aka Mike Skinner, who was nominated for four awards like Ms Dynamite but won none.

Tom Jones landed the Outstanding Contribution Award and dedicated it to his late parents. He said: "They were my biggest fans and biggest supporters. They would have been really pleased I have got this, so this is for Mam and Dad."
