Samsung may not launch flat version of Galaxy Note 7

Rumours suggest that Samsung won't be launching a flat version of the Galaxy Note 7 alongside its curved variant.

South Korean newspaper Munwha Ilbo says that the company will launch a single phone with a dual curved edge screen and is "not considering launching a flat screen version of the Note phone."

If this device is received well, it could signal the end of flat Samsung flagships, meaning that the likes of the Galaxy S8 and those released thereafter will only be available in curved options.

The Galaxy Note 7 is also being tipped to feature a 5.8-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB RAM, and a massive 4,200mAh battery.

An announcement is expected in August, so we don't have too long to wait.
