Luis Suarez showed he had lost none of his predatory instincts – or his ability to attract controversy – by scoring twice in Uruguay’s 2-1 World Cup qualifying win in Peru on Friday night.

The Liverpool striker, currently serving a 10-game domestic ban for his bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in the Barclays Premier League clash at Anfield in April, opened the scoring from the spot after he had been felled by Christian Ramos.
