Agent: Spurs made late Berbatov bid

Tottenham made a last-ditch attempt to re-sign Dimitar Berbatov on transfer deadline day, according to the Bulgarian’s agent.

Berbatov moved from Manchester United to Fulham for £5m on Friday, but only after Alex Ferguson had hinted he could be bound for White Hart Lane.
