Olympic football chief Stuart Pearce will be given full authority to select any player he wants for the Great Britain team no matter how inconvenient any Barclays Premier League club finds it.

Olympic football chief Stuart Pearce will be given full authority to select any player he wants for the Great Britain team no matter how inconvenient any Barclays Premier League club finds it.

Pearce will select an 18-man squad, plus standby players, for the Under-23 tournament this summer.
