Al Habsi still confident despite defeat

Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi is confident that Saturday’s defeat to Sunderland will not derail the Latics’ hopes of beating the drop.

Wigan jumped from bottom to 17th with a win over Blackpool last week, but they were brought crashing back down to earth by a 4-2 loss to the Black Cats, who went into last weekend’s game on the back of a nine-match winless run.
